  It is a clean, large store. There is a giant selection of buildingaterials, tools, home appliances, outdoor furniture, chemicals and decorations.

  Probably the worst place to spend your hard earned cash, sure you can pick up supplies and things off the shelves but don't buy anything else. I have had two very bad experiences and will not be supporting Lowes anymore. Employees walk around without any purpose, no one looking to help at all and management is so apathetic. I purchased a BBQ from Lowes last summer which they were supposed to assemble and we would pick up the next day. I didn't go in the next day and decided to give them a couple of days to get it ready. When I showed up to pick up the BBQ, I was told they had to find in the back warehouse. 20 minutes went by while I'm waiting at customer service. Inquired where they were at and said again that they couldn't find the BBQ in the back and were looking. Another 20 minutes went by and still no sign of the BBQ so I asked if it was actually assembled to which they said that it was 100%. Another 30 minutes went by, still waiting at Customer Service, this is when I got upset and asked for the truth; another manager approached and admitted that they were trying to assemble the BBQ in the back, so they lied when prompted the first time and it wasn't going to be ready for another hour. That is just ridiculously poor time management on their part, BBQ was promised to be ready the day before and they wasted my time. BBQ was not ready until next day, had to follow up twice to get a proper answer that it was actually ready.

  I don't know why I went back but we needed new appliances and with price matching we couldn't ignore the savings. Took over 1 hours to get the order put through the system in the appliance section, we walk over to the front cash to pay for the order and they couldn't find the order we has painstakingly worked on previously. Another 20 minutes of messing around so that the order could be re-entered in the system once more. Delivery was schedule a few weeks away and this was communicated. The few weeks go by and we get a call on Friday evening that our appliance would be delivered on Saturday between 1-3pm. Saturday morning comes around and I called to make sure the appliances would be delivered between 1-3pm as promised as we had a family engagement at 3pm and wouldn't be home afterwards. They swore up and down that the appliances would be there between 1-3pm. Then I get a call at 12:50pm that they were not going to be making the scheduled window and could only deliver between 4-6pm. We called and spoke with the deliver team which were quick to dismiss our concern for not meeting the scheduled window and actually hung up on my wife when she asked for a refund. Required numerous follow ups to get our refund. Absolutely ridiculous operations, no one has a decent customer service bone in their body, no love no care no passion.

  Even though we came to Lowe's for bubble wrap & boxes for Ottawa estate cleanup (sister-in-law died Jan 27th) spent most of our Time deciding on a much needed refrigerator. All sales personnel pleasant! Please note that "JP" is an exceptionally pleasant & outstanding individual. We'll be coming back for not just packing supplies, but to discuss refrigerator deal with JP.

  Although I found exactly what I wanted, the problem at Lowe's is the lack of staff and therefore customer service. I walked around looking for someone to help, no luck. So I had to ask customer service to call someone. He was very helpful however. Then after paying (for two doors), the cashier called twice for someone to help load them in my car. No one showed up. Finally a customer who saw how long I'd been waiting loaded the doors for me.
